    Default Help!!!!!!!

    Hi all

Had a big problem today, I met the chippy at the reno today at 7.30am for him to replace 1mtr of fascia and hang 9 doors.

Firstly, he refused to do the fascia and then whilst he was bringing in his tools, told me he had an urgent call to fix a door after a breakin and he would be back at 10am well I waited until 1pm, left 2 messages on his mobile no luck!!

I urgently need to find some one to replace the 1 mtr of fascia, as I have the carport guys booked for Tuesday and they say there is no way around it, it has to be replaced.

I would think it involves lifting a few tiles, jacking up the gutter, slicing a metre of fascia off an replacing with a new piece.

Is there anyone in Perth that can help me out. PLEASE

    celeste

I'm not in Perth ... but it isn't that large a job for the carpot guys if you were to get the bit for them in advance. Probably not much other choice at this stage.

The way I've replaced sections of fascia (especially on corner mitres) is to remove a section of gutter, fix the fascia etc and then replace the gutter obviously with a new longer section to allow for joints.

I'M guessing here, but perhaps the chippy didn't fancy using your method, didn't have the balls to tell you, left the job and has been avoiding you since.

I doubt if the carport erectors, especially if its one of those el-cheapo flat roofed attached ones, will have the skills (or will want to be bothered) doing carpentry work.

Stall the carport blokes and get another chippy.

    Hi all

Well, I still haven't heard from the chippy - I think he's scared of thunder storms - He kept muttering about the weather and then nicked off, probably hiding under his bed. L.O.L.

Either way he wouldn't have been able to do the fascia on saturday due to the rain. I did let him off the hook on the fascia, so all he had to do was hang the doors! I did use a deoderant!!

Hubby managed to call in a favour of a builder he knows, he said if he cannot find anyone to do it, he come on Mondy and do it himself and he's the boss. Very nice of him. So far the immediate problem is solved, now to find someone to hang the doors.
