Hi

We are looking to remove the TV Niche that divides the kitchen and TV room as it's not very practical and closes in the space.

The wall itself is not load bearing, however it does have 1 diagonal metal brace.

Been that that it's structural bracing rating is low compared to the ply sheeting, and the fact the house is gyprocked, bricked ect. ect. would the bracing still be required? or will it have to be moved to a different spot.

It looks like it's more of brace during the framing stage of the house.

I've spoken with both a builder and framer who both recon it shouldn't be any issue removing the wall but best to be double checked with an engineer.

Has anyone removed a wall like this before? And as well does anyone have any recommendations for a engineer in Brisbane that can have this quickly looked at.

I've attached framing and bracing plans for reference.

Cheers
