Hi Guys,
I am still in the process of recladding my house but thought I would see what your opinions are on the next stage of my reno. There is an area in my house that is made up of 5 slabs all at differing heights. I want to raise this up to be on the same RL(same or similar height as the main part of the house where the photo is taken from) and am planning on doing this with bearers and joists. A couple of relatives that work in the building game are recommending that I utilise the existing slabs as the footing for either steel piers which would be chemset onto the slab with large foot plates or brick piers. I have already built a verandah and had dramas with rock which required a 22t excavator to remove so cutting through the concrete to excavate footings could create problems not to mention access issues. Let me know what you think.
