    Default Ventilated Ridge Capping

    Hi All,
    We're replacing an old steel flat roof patio/verandah, with a combination colourbond steel flat roof verandah across the back of the house adjoining a gable roof patio at the side of the house, the roof sheets are polycarb for the patio area.The weather end will be solid stucco.The open end is also stucco but ventilated.My question is, has anyone installed ventilated ridge capping to aid the air flow through their structure? Is it effective? Unfortunately the patio area is a heat trap at present with a galvo fence 2.6metres high bordering the eastern boundary, with the brick house bordering southern and western sides.Since the new patio area will be a gable roof I will most likely put in ceiling fans but was wondering whether to go to the extra expense with the ventridge. The patio area is approx. 6mx3.5m.Thanks in advance.

    Hi Rod,
    Thx for your reply. Can the rain get through the E-Vent? Do you order these /metre or are they standard length?Have you any contact numbers or will I Google E-Vent?

    Gary,

    They are made by this mob here in Perth http://www.combinedmetalind.com.au/ so I don't know if they're avaliable in SA.

    In regards to rain getting in the answer is NO. Mine have been through some pretty heavy down pours and came up trumps.
