A question before any work is started....

I have an old house and the laundry and toilet appear to be later additions. From the main house, you step down about 300mm into the laundry. Then although the toilet is in the same rectangular area as the laundry, it looks like it is on its own separate little concrete slab which is a further 50mm down. I would like to raise this to the same level as the laundry but the existing ceiling height in the toilet is only 2050mm. This would reduce to 2000mm, which would be 100mm under legal height, right?

Is it going to be impossible to make the floors the same level?

Also, at some point termites have permeated the slab, or crack between the 2 slabs and eaten away the wall between the laundry and toilet. The damage is localised to the soft wood within this internal wall.
