Default Just got my house raised, how do I stop it moving?

Im in QLD and I just got my house restumped and raised. Since the job was done, the house moves - not excessively but enough so you can notice. I initially did the restump to open up as much as I could underneath and wanted to limit the cross bracing to external stumps. I don't know for sure but I think the work got a bit behind. I say that because I would have expected the cross bracing to be done first, then a chippy would come in and do the pailings. That didn't happen. Instead the palings were done and now they are telling me that that they are going to have problems with the cross bracing - something about having to put it on the outside. Naturally, I am not keen on that. The other alternative offered was to put it on some of the internal stumps. I am not happy with that either as I got the job done to open up as much as I could.

What is the usual process with cross bracing and stiffening up a house? I am not building in under, just using it as an storage area and workshop.

    Cheers
    Boris.

I don’t know what you requirements are however, I would do the following. Pick an area big enough for a workshop or similar under the house that should not get wet. Frame out the walls attaching load bearing studs to the posts with concrete nails. You may want to trim 6mm off some of the studs before attaching them so you can add ply to the frame to bring width back to 90mm. If you glue and nail the ply with 50mm centres on at least 4 sections on the 4 walls you effectively create bracing and the start of a usable space. If the space is on an outside wall you will need to allow a section to add a window and add external cladding over the top of the bracing/stud wall.
