I don't know if it's cheaper, but I've been told about Chippys in Ringwood.
They pretty much specialise in decking materials.

hahahah. I like Tile importers. Its great for ppl like me. You walk in, help yourself to what you need and just pay and leave. Its no good for people however who want a 20 minute discussion about what they should/shouldn't buy, how much eggs cost and the communisim situation in china...but then again, you cant really get that at bunnings either.
Thats just my opinon however, I think they are a great mob to deal with.
Cheers.

I like it to, i bought tile underlay there for half the price it was at bunnies, when I rang up and asked what brand it was, that just said it complies with australian standards (yer right). In one of the rooms there they have shifty written on the wall with a bunch of car rego numbers, the list gets bigger and bigger, must be people who steel stuff.
I know a bloke who was buying timber there and they tried to sell him a bag of lamb chops.
I have never been to a place quite like it you can get everything and anything, although the funny thing is they dont have much in the way of tiles.

Mahoney's timber in Thomastown (Nth Suburbs) I bought for $3.70/m, 90mm boards. Possibly not a rock bottom price but they only import packs in set lengths (3.3, 3.9, 4.2 etc etc) which was perfect for me as I did not want joins. Timber seems to be pretty good quality too.

Yeah.....where from???
All decks should be stained....black white black white black white.......after all it would match anything!
All roofs should be covered or tiled.....black colorbond, silver mist, black colorbond, silver mist, black colorbond.........after all, we wouldn't want a mismatch!

Best Price for Merbau decking
Try Glenn Timber and Hardware in Potter St Craigieburn, quote the 3:80 plm price and I am sure they will beat it. They did for me when I got my decking over Christmas to redeck my patio. The quality was great and had no complaints and use them all the time for my timber needs.

got on ebay and found advertised "bye it now " price (cant remember what it was now) print it out. went to bunnies highlited sevral times it was a buy it now price and not an auction price. bit of umm and arrrrring they beat it by 10% worked out to be 5.56 / lm. got one and a half packs, and its really good. was very surprised with the quality nearly all are over 3.5m. about 10 boards are a bit rough on the top. aprox 5% have a bit of a bow in them and the reast are straight.
