Big River floating floor
Hi all,
The Boss and I have decided to have the floor of our lounge done in Big River spotted gum floating floor product. We are trying to finalise the package and considering the unfinished product with a 2 pack estapol coat. Questions; will the floor need to be sanded prior to applying the estapol? How difficult should this job be?
Your answers will be very much appreciated.
Grizz.

I have laid this product and have done two types of procedures.
1/ installed the floor and using a fine grit 120# on a floor sander and edger lightly ran over it and then fine buffed it with 180# screen on a polyvac. The end result was a beautiful floor.
2/ installed the floor then using a 100# followed by a 120# followed by a 180# screen grit on a polyvac only, The end result was a floor as flat as the latter one, it looked great.
If you are going to do it your self and not get a pro sander in then i would opt for procedure 2
