Default 3 Phase instantaneous Electric hot water units

Just thought to put it out there.

I've recently sold my house and bought a commercial space. In my quest to find a hot water solution that will drive a shower I found Stiebel Eltron. A German mob that distribute within AU. Being instantaneous there is no bund required, you are not constantly heating water, the unit is small (very small). Suited me fine. 27A of draw, but only when it is in use. The bumpf says that these units use as little as 30% of the power used by a storage unit.

They are regulated to 55C so no tempering valve is required. They retail for about $1200, but, when you consider the cost of a decent sized storage/ heat pump arrangement that will be drawing power when it is NOT being used then they represent excellent value in my view. I go mine at trade price for a bit over $900. Great investment I reckon.

Now you know. Do your research, make better decisions.

    Cheers

Gas is not an option where I am. My understanding is the unit I have will be more economic. Time will tell.
