    Default Second carved platter

    Tried a carved platter a couple of months back and wasn't happy with the result. Have given the concept a bit of thought and this is my second attempt. feel much happier with this one, interested to see what other think.
    Used blackwood this time, 420 mm in diameter, finished with Rustins Danish oil and then given a light polish a week later with eee.

    Looks like you nailed the consistency of each carving, which is what makes this piece.

    Very nice bit of carving on a very nice looking piece of timber I like the finish as well.
