Chucks and other grippy things.
As NZ Carver is coming down to Melbourne in November it seems an opportune time to have a Forum Turn on.
The theme will be how to avoid things going bump in the night.
Ken Wraight will be showing how he hot melts on and other things.
Jim Carroll is bringing chucks and jaws across for sale.
Chucks, mandrels and all other things that hold work on the lathe will be covered.
So if you have a problem holding something on the lathe bring it along.
The date is Sunday the 27th of November from 9:00AM.
BYO lunch. BBQ will be here for those that want it.

I am going to be wearing a groove in the Tooradin-Wonthaggi highway. Thanks in advance for the day, and I remember its chocolate royals.

That's kind of you . You're a gentleman.
I can bring down a Woodline 'Modern Longworth Chuck' if folk want to have a look and Jim doesn't want to break open a box.Cheers, Ern

I've "penciled" in the 27th . I will let you know closer to the date when family functions are sorted out. So far it's OK!

The phrase is actually 'finely turned ankle' but we don't do that do we? 'cept maybe if we put a cove in ;-}Cheers, Ern

So NZ is finally moving back to whence he came south of the boarder down Antartic way I see he'll be well catered for and will drool over Jim's tools. He'll be able to fill his golf bag full. Poor Tiff romantic weekend ruined.
