Coolabah burl bowl
G'day
Here's a winged coolabah bowl that I have just finished . It's 380mm maximum width and 95mm high. The finish is DO . This was a commision job that arose from our recent club sales .
Just for interest the third photo shows how I hold this type of bowl to take the tennon off.
Hope you like
Ted

Ray
This was actually roughed out a couple years ago from a partially dry burl and the centre was cored out too so there was not a lot of work to do to finish it off . I do sharpen pretty frequently. Just a lick on the CBN wheel is all it takes .

The timber, workmanship and finish are all great but the slight downward tip of the rim distracts me and just ever-so slightly spoils it for me.
However that is the positional image of the photograph, probably not easily seen when on a tabletop as an actual item.
Damn fine job whatever my thoughts.Dragonfly

Finely done Ted...lots of work on those euclypt burls, but the final product is worth the aggravation
Cheers,
Ed
