    Default One of my latest creations

    This shallow bowl has a diameter of some 300mm and is about 50mm deep. I like to believe that it is turned from a slab of myrtle burl but that might not be so.

    Looks more like a eucalypt burl to me.

    I think Bodger has it. I see the same patterns here in Eucalyptus burls........ Color is different, though......... Jerry (in Tucson)

    Hi Bodger, Nutsnstubs,
    Some people in an other forum suggested it might be Sugar Gum Burl, but again they were not sure either.

    Hi Joe,
    Not sure if you have recently shown me this one at the club but wonder
    if the colour appears true in your photo.
    I am wondering if it could be a piece of Salmon Gum burl?
    Have a Google look at this site as a comparison Australianburls.com
    (Aussie burl slabs and table bases)
