Default Dry wood supply for turning in Victoria?

Hi Guys, I’m a hobby (Bowls & Platters) woodturner from Castlemaine, Vic.
Having just returned from a trip to celebrate my retirement, I sadly found that my primary source of wood and blanks retired while I wasn’t watching.

I enjoy turning a variety of dry wood, but not Eucalyptus or Silky Oak (allergies), and I tend to make two buying trips a year and reasonably load my Subaru Forester.
Living in a town house, I can’t store more than a carload.
Is there anyone, within 4 – 5 hours drive, who’d be happy to take the role of a regular supplier? (I’d be happy with a PM)

    Hi Fryers,

I have PM'd you with some info. I am confident I can meet your wood needs with other genera, excluding Eucalyptus & Grevillea.

    Happy retirement!

    Cheers Euge
