Default Dusteater's WA Sheoak big bowl blank brag

Dusteater Dave drove over from WA to Sydney recently with a trailer load of his Sheoak and other stuff. I managed to negotiate some huge bowl blanks for me then organised for his brother to bring them up from Sydney. They arrived today along with a couple of pepper grinder blanks he wants turned up.

These will give my bowl lathe (Jim Powderpost's old one) a good work out. I've done big table tops on it but these will be the first bowls.

Nice. I am curious to see pics of this lathe, I did a quick search but I don't think I saw anything big enough for table tops.

I did see this one here used for outboard turning in 2015:

The Sheoak one is 100 SQ x 400 long, yeh a bit oversized, but I'm sure I find a use for the offcuts
