Egg season
I have been turning a few (dozen) eggs for my wife's work mates and one missed out on the only burl one that I had turned. So the order came thru from the boss (my wife) to find some "holey" timber.
So, like a dutiful husband, I found a burl cap and proceeded to make some "Holey" eggs.
Bloodwood Burl is the timber. Bloodwood Burl Eggs 01.jpg Bloodwood Burl Eggs 02.jpg
I leave a flat bottom, so they stand without additional support, this may annoy the purists out there, but the customers like them.Pat

And here I am thinking you were making the carton for the eggs.
Nice going for the eggs.
