Shellac sticks (for melting) are readily available in Australia - many tones and colours. An example is here: https://www.carbatec.com.au/sanding-...tick-tin-of-10 but you can buy individual sticks much cheaper. I use these often on boxes and can recommend the Liberon shellac sticks.

yeah i prefer the gaps but i think it will fall to pieces. Maybe I should gently hollow it and see how it goes. I would just hate to cross that point of no return
