Flame tree turning
Hi all first time posting.
Is flame tree timber good for turning and woodworking in general?

Sorry to say Trevor, but I believe the wood is not suitable for turning or woodwoorking.
From my experience, as a wood collector, it tends to be soft, fibrous, open grained and porous. Some may see this as a challenge for woodworking but not me.
Even drying it is likely to result in collapse and twisting as it has so much moisture in it.

yep second Euge's opinion.
I just took one down at my place, you could almost wring the moisture out of the main trunk.
