    A neighbour just dropped three trees ,a Liquid Amber, Norfolk Pine and a Silky Oak. I scored a butt piece from each.IMG_20180802_095551827.jpg thenIMG_20180802_105610221.jpg

    into my nice clean shedIMG_20180803_100004861.jpgand into them with a 3/4inch bowl gouge and monster scraper,IMG_20180804_094154517.jpg water and curlys flying, lots of messIMG_20180804_131357998.jpgIMG_20180804_132759529.jpg

    So, one barrow load of shavings from the chainsaw, three barrows from the lathe,and seven bowls roughed out to around 30mm.IMG_20180804_132019025.jpg

    Great fun and a good argument for bowl savers.

    A nice haul and I second the argument for bowl savers . Also a good array of chucks under the lathe.
