    Default Grinding a scraper.

    Is there any reason i cannot/should not grind a 32ml flat scraper into a round nose scraper. thanks for any advice. deckell.

    No reason at all if you are talking about a standard Wood turning scraper; I’ve reshaped a couple.
    Nothing succeeds like a budgie without a beak.

    Personally, I call square scrapers "blanks" that I'll re-profile to suit my needs.

    Generally bull-nosed, although I have a couple which are only gently rounded.... for use by SWMBO. The only square scraper I have in the rack is a 5mm parting tool!

    FWIW, I use scrapers quite often on materials such as Tas. Blackwood.

    So, yeah... go for it!

    As said above they all start out square
