HAFCO Lathes
Hi All,
Is it just me or does anyone else find the spring loaded clamping handles on Hafco lathes to be a major pain? Has anyone successfully modified these?

Which model do you have the problem with? I have the WL-46A and don't have any major concerns with them. I always make sure the handle is fully engaged on the spline before applying any pressure to tighten the screw. They are fairly small so big hands might try to tighten them a bit more than they really need to.
I'm sure those used on a Vicmarc would be much better quality but you do pay for that quality.
