the down side to second hand machines
my old Hyco started making a horrible noise, on inspection of the noise someone had put a nail in the keyway of the motor shaft and pulley. it was a relative easy fix as my mate had some keyway steel and an hour of cleaning up the slots on the pulley and motor shaft! I'm now back to turning conditions. I have had the lathe for 3 years and it's done a fair bit of work. 140 balusters, 80 lace bobins, 30 drop spindles and the list goes on and on!still happy with the purchase

Every woodturner should have a tame metal worker or engineer.
