We've all had a good laugh at 's expense since I posted the lime tapse video of him turning that big table base. The truth is, that when turning large pieces like this you have to use more lower body than upper body to remove material quickly, it's called the "turners tango".
Couldn't resist

,
That looks wonderful.
What lathe? The tail stock looks like one from a metal turning lathe on a raising block. It this one of your manufacture?
You have shown some of your lathes over time. I would like to see a set of photos of all of them in one post with swing, between centers, horse power, and how they came to be, etc.So much timber, so little time.

Ok so I've started from the beginning. Is this the base?
That could be worth the drive.
Whoops, I was thinking Tuesday 14. Week to late
Nice lathe. Big wood
That's some serious segmenting.
Sorry for all the posts, just worked my way through as I read it all.

Looks like you are almost ready to make a pen
having finished your apprenticeship on this item.
Well done!
