woodboy,
I definitely like it and prefer a bowl with so called blemishes on it.
What wood is it and what size? Also, what did you finish it with?
cheers
Mick

Young woodboy here, happens to be my 16 year old nephew John, I bought him the lathe last November for his birthday after seeing him make some pieces on a little drill lathe he made himself. I was going to buy him the chuck for Christmas, but if a piece had came flying off and hit him I would have had to face the wrath of my sister-in-law, so he got the chuck at the same time. He is getting better all the time. He even started using the bowl gauge straight from the start, where I feared it till almost a year after I started. Good work John.
