enjoyed watching. Greenie launched. I liked your idea in the laser wall thickness guide. Was not until later in the series that I understood it though.

Are you going to complete the series with the finishing of the ball and foot?

Great stuff , I'm not a turner as yet but found your turning rig and lazer guide set up very interesting .
Hopefully I'll get a lathe in the future .

I like the idea of marking and numbering the chuck jaw position at the
bottom of the tenon. I sort of landed on the same thing recently myself.
It saves time and a little wood. Your hollowing rig is a beauty.

Those are great demos Stu. Tokyo is a bit far for me (us) to sit and have a chat about how you made your hollowing device. But it looks like yours works a treat!

Hi Stu,
Nice work on "Da Ball" I enjoyed watching them, and I love the idea of using the laser, as I turn wood and metal I will now use it on both. I use it to check the centers are aligned correctly on the metal lathe and the tool tip is in-line. Now I have a second use for it!...Again excellent work. A greenie to you!..

I noticed in Video “DA Ball Part 2” that when you are using your hollowing tool your knuckles are quite white thus demonstrating that you are making a very big effort.
Do you appreciate using this tool or do you find it too “resistant” to make hollowing a softer activity?

White knuckle, yeah, but mainly because I did not have things set up correctly, since then, I've refined my settings, and things are much better now!
