    Default good lathe wanted

    hi there,
    i'm looking for a good solid second hand lathe. vicmarc, woodfast or something along those lines.
    can anyone assist?

    Our club had a few good contacts to lathes for sale at the last meeting, but I didn't take any great notice of the details... I already have more lathes than limbs.

    However, next meet is this coming Wed., if you give us an idea of yer budget, I'll take notes this time...

    You could try Frank at Northern Machinery.

    Good lathes very occasionally turn up on Ebay.

    Seems most turners die before giving up their babies.

    All too true. More than half of the lathes I hear of through the club are from deceased estates.
