no deletions, you're just such a poor photographer (even with decent equipment!) you didn't get me

actually there might be one of me in the background with a plate of food, but I assumed that everyone would be more interested in Powder the me

    Default Woods

Thanks for the suggestions Wheelin and Sawdust Maker.

Not sure about bringing wood home because of the grief with "Customs".

I know if it dosen't have any holes and if necessary it can be fumigated but for such small quantities it is possibly easier if not much more expensive to go to Trend Timbers.

Dunno about the East But I have brought timber over from NZ and have a friend who routinely brings in blanks etc from NZ on his annual pilgrimage. I have received timber from the USA in the mail, all with no hassles at all.

Listen Nick at 55something your not gonna enjoy this retirement stuff , yah gonna be bored, might as well tee up a job now.

I can understand that having to explain to Susan why you have been in the shed all day and done nothing will be hard.

Just came across this thread Nick. Congrats on your impending retirement!

She'd looking a bit full there, mate. I'm sure with a couple of days efforts, some cold beers and a lot of effort you could make the whole place much, much worse

Looking forward to seeing the progress!

    Cheers,
    Dave

Easy - I'll just say I've been planning the details of her birthday present! (and of course I can't show her!)

Where have you been? We haven't seen you for a little while ...
I've got plans for the shed, just not sure how I can get double the equipment in it without Harry Potter's help.
Actually it will get better when I get some of those half finished projects completed.

Ray, the shed is a rip in the Time/Space continuum . . . The powers within are beyond the understanding of non shed dwellers.

Good luck Nick, I'm hoping in 16 years time I can do the same thing.

    Hi Nick,

Been floating about. New child (now 11 1/2 weeks old!) and new job have conspired to suck available time away from me pretty effectively!

I was actually delighted yesterday - my she floor is now covered in spotted gum shavings! I made my wife a pepper mill last birthday and this year I thought I'd finish off the set with the salt mill, so have finally got some time to turn the lathe one

Haven't finished yet... but there's always tomorrow

    Cheers,
    Dave

    Yeah
    I agree with Wheelin'
I knew you were expecting but didn't know when
Congrats to you and the SWMBO
I hope you are taking a lot of photos of your offspring - in the early days I made sure I took at least one a month, they grow and change so much.
Happy shed time, I like your style - over a year to do a pepper and salt combo
    regards

    *fixed*

Finally posted an announcement. Dunno how to link threads on tapatalk, but that would probably constitute a full thread hijack, as opposed to this partial one

    Thanks for the comments guys.

Oh, upgraded the DSLR recently, so plenty of pics. Photo directory on pc now comfortably over 90GB

    Cheers,
