    Question Leatherstone Grinder

Hi, I'm new to this forum and have joined to see if anyone can help me to find out what a leatherstone grinder does? My father, whose passion was woodworking, recently passed away and I've got the job of dealing with his shed. I came across the leathersone grinder and the only reason I know what it is, is because he kept the receipt in the box where he kept all his wood lathe tools.
    Hoping someone can help?
    Thanks
    AliD

Essentially, it's a leather grinding wheel - or rather, leather buffing wheel. You charge it with a polish and put a final edge on tools with it - for those times when 6,000 grit is just not fine enough.

Thank you so much, I really appreciate your response. I thought it was something like that from the google searches I had done, but didn't get quite enough information to clarify.
