There is an Australian marblewood which is marble whlte in colour, fine in texture and med density.
But unfortunately is rarely available as its a rainforest species and vulnerable to extinction.
It may be available from mills in Dorrigo area where I once got a bit many years ago.
Its a large to ~40m tree, Acacia bakeri.

    Try

    - Trend Timbers (Mulgrave western Sydney)
    - Anagote Timber (Marackville)

They stock a lot of timbers. But if its the grain effect you are after, then try African Zebrawood (Zebrano) its looks very similar but without the (cell wall look, if you know what I mean)

Yes, they have a barrel of offcuts for the hobbyist, 2 shorts racks for smaller lengths, plus they will cut to length from full sized boards. quite a lot to choose from. I didn't see or ask about turning blanks however.

so yep give them a hollar and check out what they got in stock.

If you are planning trip up, leave it til the weekend of July 20/21/22nd and you'll be able to hit the working with wood show at Rosehill race course as well. bring the wife and drop her off in Alexandria so she can hit the outlet stores!!
