    Default Olive wood Pepper grinder

Occasionally I stray from pens and turn up pepper grinders ,This one is for a customer who bought a foxtail palm one some time back, they love the quality mechanism so wanted a nice bit of wood to use as a salt grinder , This was a nice bit of Olive wood from SA. Finished to 600 grit, then u-beaut EEE and then 2 coats of "Glow" will fade in time but it will take on the owners finish hehe, cheers ~ John

Nice wood, there. I really like olive wood. The grain is always interesting.

Not an expert on woods ,but to me its slightly oily and very similar overall to Huon pine ,in this form its not really heavy like some of the hardwoods love the smell when turning cheers ~ John
