    Default Pincushion

A mate asked me to make a "little bowl" for his wife to put a pincushion in. He didn't give any details as to what form he wanted the bowl to be, so I looked on google to get an idea of what one might look like. Not much to find there so I used my imagination to turn the one shown in the accompanying photos. The wood was among a pile of off-cuts somebody gave me, knowing I do a bit of turning. It looks similar to a River Oak chisel handle that Pommy Phil gave me. Lovely grain.

Nice piece Manana, with pieces like that you will be getting lots of orders from the ladies sewing circle
