    Hi Brooke12,
Draw the half the shape you want on a sheet of graph paper, and then divide the hieght into layers to match the thickness if the rings. You shouldn't need plans, the process is simple. The angle to cut the segments is determined by dividing 180 degrees by the number of segments in the ring. Perhaps it is time for another WIP ?? If there is enough interest I can arrange that.

I have been accused for cutting perfectly good timber into pieces for no good reason.

I asked my boss the same question as an apprentice patternmaker, his answer was "the radius is one sixth of the circumference".
The answer went right over my head until someone showed me.
It's not exactly one sixth actually if one is pedantic, but its a pretty good rule of thumb and works a treat if you have a bandsaw and a disc sander.
    With segments, draw it first.
If you can draw it, you can make it.
    Clear as mud?

Great program, good value, and a very helpful guy, always willing to answer queries.
