Pole Lathe
Hi All
Last year I got all fired up and decided to build a double spring pole lathe. when time and health has caught up with me and I find that I can't finish what I have started.
So if any member of our forum would like to complete this project I will be happy to pass it on free of charge all I ask is that you pick it up from western Sydney
The lathe is nearly complete and only requires the second dowel spring and the tool rest to be made and it will knock down flat for transport If you are interested please PM me for pick up details
Look forward to hearing from you soon
Regards

bowl-basher,
I'm sorry to hear time and health caught up with you. That is a beautiful lathe. You do nice work.
I'm 76 and can see the wolves on the horizon. So much timber, so little time.

It looks like a very inspiring project. I can see how you would have been motivated to get this done. I hope you find someone to take on this project to get this completed.

Hi Bowl Basher
I know Dave TTC will finish your lathe nicely and then make great use of it training unsuspecting youngsters.
All the best.
Pete.

I'm going to have to dig the push bike out and get the legs pumping again just so I can be ready for this fantastic bit of equipment next year.
I usually dont like things that dont have motors or doesnt make noise but this lathe looks the goods. Plus I got to start somewhere...can't go straight to the top.
