I am, bags are packed, gear is all lined up in the shed ready to go in the ute....

I'll see you there, if you make it.

I've been into Prossy in a 727 back in 1978.... I wasn't going to the Turnout then.

I always bring a fan, not silly.....

On that note, it's been overcast & trying to rain on the tablelands,
I have had breakfast on the verandah to a pleasent 18c the last 3 mornings.
Easy to sleep at night, cool breeze, howling through the pine trees,
gentle SPLATTER of rain & pine needles on the roof....

It's a differnet story at sea level though.... I have the AV on just to
cool it down to 26c at 10 pm at night here.

ANyway, I'm packed, almost, & ready to go, almost, just have to get
one finger out of plaster after an altercation with a grinder Saturday....
You should see the grinding wheel.... I made a mess of it I can tell you...
It's got my blood all over it....

Well, that's it all over for another year....
    lost 3 & a half work days,
drove about 1300Kms round trip for a total driving time of 14.5 hours,
finished 8 pieces of turning & started fixing one I bug'red,
drank 15 stubbies, 2 bottles of red, 14 cups of coffee & about 20 litres of water,
    talked a lot of ummm...
met up with about 115 old & new friends,
tried out some new finishes & saw some new ideas &
came home ready to go straight to the shed to try out all the new ideas.

I'll do it all again next year.

    Hey Cliff,

Are you going to the Tambourine Turnfest, the week-end after Easter next year?? There will be a few good demonstrators there.

Nuh, I'm going to Longreach at Easter for my Mum's 70th birthday so it won't happen.

I went to Collum last year but missed Tambourine this year.

I'm considering the Hervey Bay 2005 Woodturn but it's in mid Feb &
a very long drive for me when I have to drive to Longreach the next month.

I might make it to Tambourine in 2006, if it's still at Tambourine.

Good to see you got home ok, when we left the whole show was over and there was cliffie, still turning. Can you send me a PM on how to do the picture, and if you go to Longreach will you have any room for some genuine Deadfinish? Still have not caught up on the lost sleep, but them's the breaks for a fabulous 3 days of wood and turning and redclaw and drinking and,,,, Wonder if Kens trailer made it back to Mexico, it sure was loaded.

I still have some dead finish in a shed somewhere.
I can get some more though... might be easier.

Ken was going elsewhere, Barcaldine included, to cut Gidgee,
he'd want to have more room to be going out west at this time
of the year to make it worth while.
