Question about Pop's Shed Razor Kit
I bought the razor kit from Pop's Shed and I was thinking about a modification to use a razor system other than Gillette Mach 3.
The head part of the razor is in two parts which screw together, with the male part at the razor end and the female in the part that goes into the tube.
I was thinking of inserting a suitable threaded rod into a different razor head and using that in place of the supplied head. Does anyone have any idea what thread is used in this kit, it looks very bespoke to me.

I have used this kit before and have found that the Mach3 aspect can be a pain when selling the completed razors as everyone wants the latest model face cutterupper.
Fusion Razor Handle Kit in Chrome at Penn State Industries
Is the gillete fusion 5 blade kit, but the heads are interchangeable and i believe they do have the heads availabe individually.
As for what the actual thread is... beats me off the top of my head but i seem to recall tapping an old cartridge case filled with epoxy and being able get the head to fit, but not perfectly. So it may work in reverse, just have to experiment.

That's pretty much what I did - the thread is a bit like 1/4 BSW or UNC but not quite either of them! but a bit of drilling and epoxying meant I was able to put the head that I wanted to use of the handle - I found some good chrome paint to match it to the chrome fittings and turned a simple handle. The wood was a piece of unknown species eucalypt from the FIL's fire pile!
Here's a picture.Cheers
