    Default Record RPML300

    Hi all,
I recently purchased a second hand Record RPML 300 compact lathe. I've read in the instructions that the head can swivel, increasing the bowl turning capacity from 9" to 14".

The only problem is that i don't have the optional tool rest for the head end of the lathe (Cat. No. CLB).

Has anyone come across one of these? Or any ideas on how to fabricate an outboard toolrest?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Cheers
    Shacko

    Coronet & Record No.1, 2 and 3 wood lathes

A few ideas for floor tool rest.

A pipe in a bucket of concrete with an inside diameter of your tool rest, with nut welded to the pipe for a set screw would work.
