i got my SS bar stock from Edcon Steel at Brookvale, they will cut to any size and have a huge selection. But probably a bit far for you nip over to!

I bought 2 large pry bars from supercheap auto, they are about 20inches long made of hardened steel. Cut of one at the bend, cut a shallow rebate the length of the square insert from Timberbits, and drilled and tapped the hole. Works very well, the handle feels great in the hand.
Cut the second one just short of the tip and did the same but turner the handle 90 degrees. Used a round insert Which makes a great inside bowl tool.
