    Default Saved bowl

I had to save this bowl, the grain was too beautiful to throw away. It measures 7" x 2 1/2". It might be redgum or ironbark, found the log on the ground on my farm.

FOG wood (found on ground) I use lots of it.

What adhesive did you use, and how did you clamp it? I occasionally have the same problem and would like to know how others resolve it.

    Beautiful bowl and nice save.
So much timber, so little time.

Some people see firewood, some rubbish and the lucky few see art.

What can I say that has not been said! - 'wow' - can I have a walk around your farm?

    Well worth the extra effort....

    Going by pics, not redgum.

Hi Paul39, the adhesive used was Selleys Super Durable Aquadhere, the joint is now stronger than the wood of the rest of the bowl. Luckily it was a clean break and just had to use one g clamp to hold it till it dried.
dr4gOnfly, come on over, you can take back as much as you can stuff in your suitcase plus in the overhead locker bag!

Thats one of the nicest pieces of wood I've ever seen.

Its reminds me of a black opal.

If you see someone wandering around your farm, don't shoot, Its just me.
May not be today, may not be tomorrow, But one day soon and when I find you, but it will happen.

    Probably Ignota Ligna Australis

Great looking bowl well worth saving.
