    Default Scroll saw brushes

Hey, quick query about my scroll saw brushes.

I have a 16 inch scheppach scroll saw.

With the brush caps, I've noticed as standard they seem to be about flush with the casing. But when I replaced mine they went a lot further down.

I think its the same with the ryobi I saw at bunnings when I had a sticky beak.

So before I turn it on. Can anyone tell me why this is?

I would think as long as the metal disks on the end of the brushes make firm contact with the brass holder there is nothing to be concerned about.
So much timber, so little time.
