Needed A Shoe Horn
I needed a shoe horn. I found the parts at the recent Sydney Working With Wood show at Carroll's stand. I purchased two as one for myself and one spare as you do.
I had some NZ Kauri pine glued up in a square and cut one piece at a length of 450mm. Just used the roughing gouge from start to finish. The parts were glued in with epoxy and the finish is wipe on poly.
Comments and criticism welcomed.

Looks great! Is it brass? Or plated?

I think it is plated gold.
The truth is I am not really sure. The ones that I have seen in the shops are plastic and normally come with a smaller handle. I went for a longer handle so that you do not have to sit down to use it.
