    Cool Some simple little bowls.

Some simple things for a change. 2 red gum and 1 blackwood little bowls, and a jarrah cup that had a nail hole going right through. All sanded to 400# The red gum and Jarrah finished in hard burnishing oil. (Not yet burnished.) The blackwood finished in EEE and Shithotwax. Biggest is 88mm diameter.

    Simple but elegant i reckon

I think it's good therapy to just make something sometimes without it being anything special.

    Great work TL

All-round winning projects TL and they look good too
Simple little bowls like those are great for practicing technique, testing the characteristics of timbers you haven't used before and trialling finishes - and as a bonus, my grand-daughter loves playing with them too.

Good to see some simple and elegant ones.I like the bowl with the nail holes.Often pieces of timber with defects are thrown away and not used.

IMO, simple bowls are the hardest to do..... well.

But, when well done they sing to the soul.
