Thanks for all the info and pics Neil. The steel does look like a good fit on your gouges. I will see if I can track down one of those in Hobart so that I can see how it fits on the gouges I am most keen to use it on. Usually my bowl gouges are used straight from the grinder. It is my detail gouges and big roughing gouge that get the full sharpening works.
