    Default spiral candlesticks

    Hi guys,
I started some spiral candle sticks on the weekend and
thought it might be interesting to do a WIP.....
on my progress, I had a nice piece of red gum
cut in half and started shaping and marking out
the lines to cut out the spirals, that was all I had time
for on sunday afternoon, hope some of you find it
    interesting,
    Cheers smiife

I've managed it in the past with a massive catch with a skew. And I mean massive. )

The trick here will be to get the ensuing spiral to match the other one.

What is required here is a controlled dig in.

    Mine come in 3 sizes.

1: Standard dig in. Also called a "woopsie".

2: Medium dig in. Switch of lathe and count fingers.

3: Massive dig in. S**t!! Where did that go? Time for a change of clothes.

    Cheers

    Tim

    Down in front
It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it.
