Default new toy and coffee cup

well almost finished the shed and havent turned a thing for a few weeks, so i went to pops shed and done some shopping lol wanted to buy a new chuck, and since another woodworking store wouldn't help me regarding a nova chuck and sold me the wrong jaws for my existing one, i had a look at the vicmarc chuck and have so say damn that is a fine chuck and better yet it is Australian made!!!! bought a few more things going to try and do a salt and peper shaker next but have no idea how to go about that, so that will be fun

but did get some lathe time got the wooodcut hollow tool and gave a coffee cup a go turned out of just too too much off near the top so there is a little gap but not bad for my first go

Yep, that's certainly London Plane. Called Lacewood on the Quarter Sawn.

    A pollution tolerant maple hybrid.
