    Default Vale Jack de Vos

    Ladies and Gentlemen
A couple of days ago I was informed of the passing of Jack de Vos, a very well known turner both within Australia (he lived in WA) and overseas.

Jack does stunning vases and turned items with embellishments and very unique patterns and styles. I can pick a Jack de Vos item in a gallery very quickly. Jack was a wonderful turner and was ever ready to share his processes with anyone whom asked. He demonstrated widely and was held in very high regard within the wood community.
I do not have details of his funeral yet, but if you PM me, when I get some, I shall pass them on.

If anyone is not aware of his work, here is his website Jack de Vos - fine woodturner

    Vale Jack de Vos
    Sincerely
    Willy

    Another great loss.

We are losing too many of our artists-woodturners at far too young an age.

    Look after yourselves everyone.
