Thread: Complete Bathroom in a Day

Hi Guys!
I just found this place, looks like there is some great info and advice here.
I thought I would add my bit.
i guess I should preface my remarks by saying, "I have nothing to do with this company, just a happy customer".

How many of you, as we did 15 years ago, have bought a rundown place and the good lady has prioritised that a new, (or in our case a working) bathroom is top of the list.

This product fitted the bill so well.
The entire bathroom arrives on the back of truck- and I do mean entire.
All the plumbing is done, so you have just 1 cold, 1 hot and 1 waste pipe to connect.
The pan & cistern, shower recess and basin are in situ, as are all the taps and shower head, toilet roll holder, toothbrush holder, towel rails, GPO etc etc.
All the wiring is done, light, exhaust fan and GPO.

The plumber the day before, set the waste pipe in the floor and ran a H & C line to where they would be needed to attach to new bathroom.

Because in our situation the bathroom was being located at the back of the house and a new exterior wall being constructed the bathroom did not need to be broken down into its 3 sections. (Broken down, it will fit through standard door openiings.)
We just manually lifted the entire unit off the truck, carried it to its new position and lowered it in place lining up the waste.
Plumber screwed waste to sewer line that he had run the day before,then hooked up H & C lines and he was on his way.
Sparkie connected one set of cables and he was finished too.

We have been using this for 15 years and apart from the usual replacing of washes etc not one problem.
The 'Significant Other Half' reckons it is the easiest bathroom ever to clean being all fibreglass gelcoat (yes including the walls, floor & ceiling.
No crevices, grout or hidden hard corners to try and clean.
Only the silicon that fills the three section joins has disoloured (gee after 15 years why does that not surprise me).

The outside of the unit is timber battened so I just nailed the vertical v-groove timber straight on to it.

It's a long time ago but from what i remember costing was cheaper than building a 'normal' bathroom but the HUGE advantage was 1 day all done

Wow this a long first post, I guess you can tell i am impressed with this product. As we are about to do a new reno on this place and change layout around, we are going to go with the product again.
