Hi,
This is my first post so please bare with me.
Just dove in to a house renovation and can already see this site is going to help me ALOT!

Although i have hit my first hurdle!
Our house was built in the late 1950s to early 1960s and all the plaster and cornices are the old horsehair stuff.
I measured the old cornice and was pretty positive it was just 55mm cove stuff but when i butted the old and the new up together, there was a slight difference in depth of the cove (see photo)

Can anyone please give me some advice or point me in the direction of a place in Melourne that would stock old cornice like this or is best to just remove all the old stuff and start fresh? Obviously that last option is not ideal!

Thanks in advance!
