Remove bottom fin from aluminium sliding window frame
How do you remove the bottom fin from an aluminium slider? I intend to mount the window on top of three rows of glass bricks.

You will see a little score line in the extrusion at the base of the fin. That is designed as tge weak point to snap it off at.
Start at one end with a pair of pliers, vise grips or a small shifter and wiggle the fin back and forth and it will start to snap off, continue along the fin in the same manner. It us very easy to do once you understand what is happening
