getting a new shed built.
sliding door - slides on outside, so goes over cladding at each end of door.
shed frame is 65mmx65 SHS.
door frame is 40mmx40 SHS.

before signing up I asked about locking and they said good padlock on locking plates.
silly me.
they are not providing locking plates.
just a $2 pad bolt, tek screwed to SHS on edge of door frame and bolt slides into shed frame.
(I can replace the teks with cup head bolts but still pretty flimsy)

I have had a look at hardware in Bunnings, and elsewhere on line, and no decent pad bolts to mount on 65mm.
couldn't see any other off the shelf options, eg locking plates.

Only thing I can think of is a s/s eye bolt thru door fame and one thru shed frame so when door is closed one eye overlaps the other eye.
To mount hem tho I need 10mm eye bolts to get the shank length, which will probably be too thick for the hi security padlocks I have.
Padlock will probably secure two 8mm eye bolts but the shank length is a bit marginal.
Might get better options at a marine supply place?

Thought of a patio bolt type arrangement but the mounting is a bit iffy for that too.

any ideas out there?
