Great result, what did you use as backing for the tambour, and what adhesive?

Thanks Alex, I used plywood for the horizontal surfaces because I didnt want to deal with wood movement, and I just dressed the edges with strips of myrtle. Then I ran out of myrtle entirely so I made the sides and back of the drawer with a strip of merbau garden screening from Bunnings LOL
Just the closest color match I had on hand.

The glue is just titebond 1.

Edit: oh sorry, now I realised what you meant. For the tambour backing I used some leftover fabric from this project
    First try - blanket box

It was just some grey velvet

Very, very nice. I like the contrast in wood colours.
